Douglas AMA Agricultural Management Plan

The Arizona Department of Water Resources will hold two days of public workshops in the Douglas Active Management Area (AMA) on November 27-28, 2023.  Meetings will be held as follows:

In Person:

Douglas Visitor Center

On November 27, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 PM, ADWR will host an application workshop specifically focused on assisting users in completing applications for Irrigation Grandfathered Rights and for Type 1 and Type 2 Non-irrigation Grandfathered Rights.

Following this workshop, from 4:00-6:00 PM, ADWR will host an informational meeting to provide background related to agricultural sections of AMA management plans. This information will provide a starting point for the next day’s discussions related to the Douglas AMA management plan and agricultural conservation programs.

On November 28, 2023, from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM, ADWR will host a workshop with breakout sessions to facilitate public input on the agricultural section of the Douglas AMA management plan. From 2:00-3:00 PM, ADWR will conclude the workshops by providing an overview of feedback and next ste
