HYROLOGIC MONITORING REPORTS (HMR)

Hydrologic Monitoring Reports (HMR) provide the public, private sector, and other local, state, and federal agencies with information on the progress made by ADWR's Hydrology Division in implementing the Comprehensive Hydrologic Monitoring Plan within Active Management Areas (AMA) or Strategic Vison Planning Areas as defined by the Arizona Water Initietive. These reports present surface water, groundwater, pumpage, precipitation, recharge, and well information that has been compiled or developed by ADWR on an annual basis for an AMA.

Statewide

Statewide Hydrologic Monitoring Report: This report provides data and analysis of Arizona’s groundwater conditions over the last two decades. The period analyzed includes a time of significant variability in groundwater use trends both inside and outside Arizona’s Active Management Areas (AMAs), and covers the first 20 years of Central Arizona Project (CAP) water deliveries for direct use and recharge in central Arizona. The last 20 years also includes an extended drought period that has affected groundwater and surface water resources throughout the state.
